I was watching this show again last night on the History Channel.  I found it to be interesting and chilling in some parts.  Now I don't buy into all of it, but there are enough truths in the program to warrant considering the viewpoints offered. Here is a link to view it if you like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gi53kq4vzY

The program contains some things I have long considered to be happening, such as the damage being done to the waters and the increasing dependance on foreign oil as a economic and life sustaining factor of America and other nations.  We are seeing the wars being fought as people desire to have it all.  Some things I didn't see mentioned was the continued pollution of the land needed to grow food.

We have come to believe that we deserve to have the best and the most.  Time is a factor in our response to the things being done.  Financial power is being heralded as the thing always need for prospering.   Food and water are our most important assets, without them we perish.

I'd like to hear what ya think.

Be repectful of other Viners, we don't have to agree, but we do have to abide by the COH.

I've been concerned with the quality of the water and the economic distortions we have been pushing as acceptable for decades.

I found the program to be interesting and thought provoking.

The comparisons to the Roman Empire hit home.

I wrote an article comparing the fall of the roman empire to America. I think they are similar in many ways. Having not watched the show (but I will and thanks for sharing it) I do not know what it has to do with prophets, so I can't comment on that part.

Grisham, they are not prophets from the Bible. They are people who are studying the effects of our lifestyles .

Very thought provoking and not based on religion at all in my views.

This article is not based on the Biblical prophets. The "prophets" here are scientists whose views are based on scientific findings and mathematical equations.

Ahhh, cool. Okay. Wasn't sure. Sometimes they will hit it up from the Book of Revelation. LOL.

Well that takes out a large portion of our population that seem to not believe in science. We hear it everyday from Bachmann and her followers, we hear it from the extreme right to protect "free markets" unhindered by regulation, we hear it daily from radio talk show personalities. If it does not produce greater profit they ain't interested.
