I watched very little of the GOP/TP celebration of lunacy and intolerance. I tuned in to hear if they were still the propaganda spinning shills, and to my dismay they are !!
Oh, I read about what they said and heard from the con conglomerate, of spin and rhetoric, how they really delivered the "truth" about our situation and made President Obama look bad. I've been checking on the internet, reading the papers, and listening to the sound bytes and all I can come up with is. They spent all this time and money on a con game trying to con people into thinking they have our best interests at heart.
I want to see proof of their intentions and I have. The house of representatives was elected to bring us jobs. Where are they ?? They are still going to China and other countries. They lowered our credit rating by being obstinate fools instead of working with the President who was elected by the people to be the leader- not them, they are supposed to offer up legislation not try to run the country-. These clowns have done everything they could to destroy our nation just because they don't like president Obama.
They are trying to punish Americans for not voting for their lilly white candidates !!! I'm not real big on other people trying to tell me how I should live my life to please them. Anyone who has read many of my comments or articles know that I'm against the right wing conservative "christians" of who Romney is now considered a part of. That alone should be a warning of what kind of solutions they offer. It is GW Bush back to Nixon and the ever widening Fascist bent they believe in as the America they want.
It is not because I don't think they have a right to believe as they do, it is because I think they don't have a right to impose their beliefs on our nation as laws.
I mean seriously think about it. These people thought it was a good idea to put Clint Eastwood on stage to talk to an empty chair and we were supposed to imagine he was speaking to president Obama ?? That is their idea of delivering a powerful message, an actor rambling on as Ronald Reagan did ?? Didn't we suffer enough under Reagan and his bull crap ways ??
Now they offer us Mitt Romney and Ryan as their proposed solution to the nations problems. They are trying to put the problem makers back in charge.
I really have to question these peoples sanity. I'm not talking about the level of their greed, because that is off the charts and unmeasurable. I'm talking about their humanity and the ability to connect with another person daily on the level of that person being worthy of geting an equal opportunity.
I don't see that in them. I see them as really believing they are better than other people. That is what their conventions from the 70's on have shown me about them.
I was hoping that the GOP/TP would say "hey this is all one big joke and we are going to come up with some more moderate candidates that will work for all the people not just the wealthy" but instead we continue to get a celebration of the complete emptiness in their hearts and minds except for the love of their wealth and skin color which they attribute to their version of "God"
I'll continue to battle them because I have children and grandchildren who are depending on our wisdom to keep this nation free, and unless we fight them politically we will just consign our children and grandchildren to the slavery the GOP/TP'ers want as their dream government !!!
Here is a link to an article I found interesting. http://santamariatimes.com/news/opinion/editorial/commentary/five-failings-of-the-gop-convention/article_5df1277c-f3ea-11e1-bffa-001a4bcf887a.html
From the link.
1. No effort was made to win swing voters, who will decide the election.
The convention was a total celebration of the conservative base, such as the GOP cave-dweller platform, calling for everything absurd — from a return to the gold standard to a total ban on abortion but with no money for family planning. The convention blamed President Barack Obama and government for every known evil.
People know government is necessary. Their fathers and grandfathers couldn’t have been successful without such programs as the GI Bill. Social Security and Medicare have kept millions of seniors out of poverty. Without regulation, fewer products and foods would be safe.
The party even changed rules to disenfranchise Ron Paul delegates, hardly a way to appeal to more voters or promote unity.
2. The convention was packed with lies.
Speaker after speaker repeated misinformation proven to be untrue by a variety of independent sources.
Despite Republican claims, Obama has not revoked the work requirement for welfare.
Obama is not killing Medicare. He wants $716 billion cut from Medicare by reducing payments to hospitals and private health insurers, while Mitt Romney’s running mate, Paul Ryan, wants to take that same amount and use it to offset more tax cuts for the wealthy.
The Wisconsin auto-plant closure that Ryan blamed on Obama occurred before Obama became president.
The upcoming, mammoth across-the-board defense cuts were not Obama’s idea, but were ordered by Congress — the same Congress that got the country’s credit rating downgraded and very nearly caused the nation to default on its debts.
3. The convention implausibly accused Obama of failing to understand the American dream.
Really? The first black president? A single mother’s self-made son who got into Harvard and became a constitutional-law scholar? ...
Just those observations alone should concern people as to the level of propaganda that the GOP/TP'ers base their spew on. Am I willing to deal with these liars ?? Not at all. I have no peace with those whose intent it is to destroy this nation. They are not going to be accepted by me, and many others like me. I don't accept greed and pride as being the reasons to do things. Apparently the GOP/TP'ers see those as the only reason to do things.
Romney/Ryan if their lips are moving they are lying !!! Yes you can use that !!!
Now the Democrats will hold their own Convention and I'm sure the propaganda will flow. I'll be interested to see how many in the GOP will bite and get caught up in the their rhetoric is evil and ours is good.
If you think I favor the Democrats, you are wrong. I turn to them because they are the only alternative I have against the GOP/TP that has a chance of winning and therefore keping the Fascists out of office.
I realize that may anger some of my friends who are Democrats, sorry but I am who I am. I'm a Democrat by attrition, not by the take and give they do. I want people top work together to make this nation strong that means we need strong leadership and not political goals that keep us from uniting as a nation.
President Obama is not my favorite, but and let me make this clear, I believe that he is doing a much better job than Reagan, Bush or GW Bush ever did and that for the country to even consider Romney is a disgrace to the standards of this country. If President Obama had the right congress-moderates- not liberals and conservatives who keep defeating each other to prove their points while destroying this nation- I believe he would get a lot done to bring us back from the brink of collapse that has been brought about from the terrible policices of the GOP/TP'ers in office the last 31 years.

The highlight of the second night of the Republican National Convention was Rep. Paul Ryan’s speech accepting the vice presidential nomination. (As a longtime Condoleezza Rice watcher, The Fact Checker was also fascinated by the enthusiastic response to her prime-time speech.) We will devote most of this column to analyzing claims in Ryan’s speech, but at the end we will also assess a few other interesting claims made by other speakers.
“Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: ‘I believe that if our government is there to support you … this plant will be here for another hundred years.’ That’s what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn’t last another year. It is locked up and empty to this day.”
In his acceptance speech, GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan appeared to suggest that President Obama was responsible for the closing of a GM plant in Ryan’s home town of Janesville, Wis.
Obama gave his speech in February 2008, and he did say those words. But Ryan’s phrasing, referring to the fact the plant did not last another year, certainly suggests it was shut down in 2009, when Obama was president.
Ryan, in fact, issued a news release in June 2008, urging GM to keep the plant open after the automaker announced it would close it.
The plant was largely closed in December 2008 when production of General Motors SUVs ceased — before Obama was sworn in. A small crew of about 100 workers completed a contract for production of medium-duty trucks for Isuzu Motors, a contract that ended in April 2009.
Note that Ryan called the plant “locked up” rather than “shut down.” That’s because the plant has not been completely shut down; it remains on “standby” and could reopen if GM production reaches the right level, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
“The plant in Janesville remains in ‘standby’ status waiting for the recovery – and jobs – President Obama said would come with his bailout of the auto industry,” said Ryan spokesman Brendan Buck. “When the president picked his winners and losers, Janesville lost.”
Buck also pointed to a campaign statement by Obama in late 2008, when it was announced production would end, that he would “lead an effort to retool plants like the GM facility in Janesville.”
See to me talk is cheap. I walk the walk of my talk. I'm still working even though I'm not getting rich, I'm still trying to help those who want to help themselves but need a hand up, and not a handout- a handout is sometimes needed to to assist a hand up though, just not a continual hand out for years-
So in closing I'll just say the old time conservatives of Teddy Roosevelt are more of what we need instead of the new wave Fascist's like Reagan, Bush, GW Bush, Romney who call themselves conservatives and are really just greedy robber barons.
Coments are welcome, disagrements happen. Lets discuss things.
