I want to offer up a prayer to God, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for all in America, as well as the rest of the planet. I'm asking any who will to join me in this prayer.
If you do not want to join in, that is fine. Please do not interfere with those who want to. The freedom of religion means all are free to believe as they will. It does not mean only those who believe as I do, or as you do are free to believe. So if you believe in nothing, or a different faith, or in no God at all that is your choice, just please show the same respect for our rights and you wish for yours.
Our Heavenly Father, please hear us as we ask in the Name of He Who died on the cross and was resurrected as our Salvation, Jesus Christ.
Dear Father, we are going through some hard times here. We are being bombarded with lies from those who would deceive us in Your Holy Name. They believe that politics are our answer's here on earth. I guess, they do not remember when You told Your people we would regret the day we asked to be ruled by a king as the other nations were. Dear Lord I remember that warning, and I see part of the reason we were warned. Because the people turn from You and become fixated on the things of this earth instead, as if by having things we are possessing what is needed for true happiness and joy. Lord here in America, as well as around the world, we have become fleshly and seek the pleasures of the flesh over the joy of following of You.
We have become sheep following false shepherds, whose goal it seems is to make following You no different than following any other leader. To be changed when the leader changes and we become led by another in a line of earthly rulers. We know better Lord, for none are above You, and we are to follow You above anything or anyone else. Forgive us Father in Him, for we have transgressed against You. We have put our beliefs in the ways of the politicians above You and have become blown by the winds of mans doctrines, instead being anchored to The Rock of You. We are sorry God. We are sorry that we do not understand yet that the things of this world are only temporary given to us by You for Your glory, and to be used to help all whom You call on us to help with Your Way.
We are sorry Lord God, that we continue to war for the things of the flesh, while claiming to be of You. We are sorry God that we would judge Your Creation by the color of the skin You choose for them. We are sorry dear God, that we believe that money makes us powerful and righteous, for we do not understand that money is worthless in eternity, for it is burnt up. What lasts dear God as I understand Your teachings is the Love we give in Your Name, and the things we do with what You provide us with to do Your will.
We are sorry Father, that we do not realize that women have the same rights as men as far as You are concerned. That they too have a say in their own lives, just as we have a say in our lives as to what we will believe and accept. For we know that in the end we appear before You God, not as the masters of our own destiny, but as the ones who made decisions based upon our acceptance of You and Your Way, or against You and Your Way. Still we realize God, that all have the right to choose what they will believe and no-one has the right to enforce their beliefs upon another in Your Name and claim to be of You.
Forgiving Father, cleanse us of the lies being offered and believed. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit that we may discern Your Truth and be led By Him, instead of by the lies of those who walk in league with the one who deceives. Take away the blindness of those who want You God, let them see Your Way in Christ, as we who are in Him now do see and rejoice in.
Dear Lord, president Obama has been accused of vile things by many who say they profess You as their Lord. Many of them back his opponent, while claiming to Christians. Lord we ask that they be shown what it is they are doing so they may repent and be shown their error in backing the spirit of the anti-Christ, for we believe they are deceived by the lies that You warned about at the later times when your return draws nigh. We do not judge them Lord, but we rebuke them in Your Name. So they may see You instead of the flesh Lord.
We want our brothers and sisters to come to You Father, not for our sakes, but for theirs as well as the country's and the worlds sake. For we believe dear God that You have allowed America to stand in spite of her wickedness, because we have followed your Way God. We overcame the bondage of enslaving people due to their skin color, Lord. Yet now we are falling back into it, not only based on skin color, but also on beliefs and financial standings.
Lord as You say in The New Testament when one falls back into the old ways after being cleansed it is much worse. I believe that is what is happening to America God. Please Dear Father, open the eyes of the hearts of Your children here. Let us see what You have in mind for us, not the politicians or the wealthy, for their plans always lead to the same things Lord. A few powerful and wealthy, and many suffering for it.
Lord as in the times of Sodom and Gomorrah, this nation has much, but blesses few. Instead the selfishness and pride of self acheivement blind their hearts and eyes. They see themselves as special above the rest, and we see the behavior it brings in this nation. The poor orphans and the widows having no-one to be their champion are treated as if they have no value for only wealth and power are being valued here now.
The church's talk, but do little and they play their political games as if they are above reproach. They have lost their first Love,You Jesus Christ, they love the pomposity and the attention they receive while mouthing your words, then hide away when Your work is to be done. They side with the politicians and say no to governemnt helping because it makes them look bad. As if they are not able to carry out what God has said for we to do as Christians. They are not able because they place their beliefs in the conservatives or liberals instead of God, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. Lord wake them up, for we are not able to do Your work without Him.
President Obama has shown that he wants to allow people the freedoms they say they want, dear God. But some think Your Freedoms mean that everyone has to believe as they do, whether they want to or not, or they are not Christians. Lord we ask that You visit them and allow them to know Your Truth, not their truth, and Lord if they need to be scared to believe it, well better to be scared and repent, than to be ignorant and continue to follow the lies.
We are asking these things Lord for we know that You are able to do all things, and that Your will, will be done. We Love You dear God, and we know without You we have nothing. Not this country, not our freedoms, not even our lives are possible without Your allowing it. So we ask these things dear God because we believe You are the answer, and through You come the things we need. Not through our flesh, but through You.
Please hear us, Lord in Your Holy Name Jesus Christ, we ask our Father to do His will and let it be done as He will not as we will.
