When was the last time you saw a liberal theocracy ?? Ever ?? Nope, me neither. What have we seen with the theocracies is that they are based on ultra conservative doctrines that are of man and not God. By that I mean that men cannot do what only God is capable of and that is being perfect. So what I'm most definitely against is the drive by the "conservatives" to make religion in their mold of beliefs. I placed conservatives in parenthesis because I know that there are some real conservatives out there and I respect an honest and true conservative. Who can see that God is beyond the ability of man to control and that whether one is a liberal or a conservative it does not matter to God as long as they serve Him and not their perspective party.
I know that there are some here on the Vine because I have talked to them in the past, and though we didn't agree politically we do agree about God and Who saves us and He is Jesus Christ. Now being filled by The Holy Spirit we walk in Christ and know that not all men or women will serve God. But that is not our problem because it is beyondour ability to force another to serve and we should not want to attempt to try and make one follow what they don't believe. I hope I can get an Amen from at least some here for the Truth that God is in charge and we are are His workers in Christ. Not for the political gain, but for the Glory to His Name and to allow people to see that Christ is beyond the political scope of man and man fails when politics are seen as the way to salvation.
Yet that is what has been being tried for over the last 32 years. A conservative theocracy that doesn't have God at it's head, but has conservatism as it's base. Oh they parade God's Title around and think they are made right by that. But just look at the mess this country has been in since the Reaganomics greed is good has taken over. Under the auspices of being healthy for business as long as taxes are low people will put their wealth to work for America. That has been proven to be a lie and yet many neo cons still cling to the lies because they make money from it. From Reagan to Gingrich, to the anti-tax hike guru who is not an elected official yet believes his Grover Norquist pledge is the voice of the theocracy of the right wing greed merchants who call themselves "conservatives" in order to have a political party to post their platform on. These people try and say God is on their side and they have the force of morality which is not evident in their business transactions nor their ethics or treatment of people on the whole.
These people seem to see themselves as gods from God to rule over us with their greedy ways while saying we are the ones with the problems. God is not a business nor a business man. He is God the Ruler of all Time and the Keeper of records and no man made theocracy or political party is able to successfully challenge His Way for long for they are shown for what they are eventually and the people with His discernment and wisdom flee that type of leadership. For what good is it to rule the earth for a short time and then spend an eternity complaining about it as you are separated from God by the choices of not accepting His Way.
God flourishes where freedom reigns because He is freedom, and those who rule with a open hand toward God receive what He gives. But those who rule with a clenched fist and say they are the power of the land and their idea of God must be obeyed and followed end up losing a fight they could never win to begin with, because when you close your hand to God you make a fist against Him.
In other words telling the people of the country how they must believe in God in order to be acceptable to the party in charge is trying to say the party in charge is God. Liberals-those wo believe in God- as a habit don't say you have to believe in God as they do in order to be acceptable to them, they seem to realize that God is not some tool to to be used to fashion people into the mold you chose for them. Now don't get me wrong and think I'm saying liberals have it all right, because they don't either. Saying one can behave any way one chooses and still be acceptable to God is not correct at all. But believeing that all people have the right to believe as they will is correct, now just because we think they have the right to believe as they will does not mean we think their beliefs are Christian. It simply means that God gave all people that right and no one has the right to deny any one the rights God gives us.
That is why you won't see a liberal theocracy. That is why you can see a conservative theocracy as well. Because the "conservatives" believe that God approves of them and their ways and they think God is on their side. Notice the "conservatives" definition and not the conservative who realizes the Truth of God.
God is not on anyones side. We come to the side of God if we are on His side He is with us, if they think God is on their side they think they control God by their beliefs. They have made themselves an enemy of God like the devil did by thinking God looks at them as His equal. Now that is regardless of political beliefs whether it be liberal, conservative, ... that is just a universal Truth.
Well I'm sure there are some people who will disagree with me. Thats okay, I'm not worried about having people agree with me. I'm more concerned with telling the Truth.
This is the Way I see it.
